An ashed, soft and delicate, unpasteurised goats’ milk pyramid from the Loire. Soft and mellow.
2. Sharpham Brie 250g - CUV
Brie from Devon, made from unpasteurised Jersey milk by Debbie Mumford. Rich yet delicate.
3. Baby Curworthy 500g - C
Curworthy dates back to the 17th century, and is thought to be even older than Cheddar. Rachel Stevens, the cheese-maker, discovered the recipe only 20 years ago, and was delighted to be able to re-create a lost tradition. Her cows’ milk cheese has a smooth yet firm texture, and a mellow, creamy flavour.
4. Gratte Paille 180g - C
A luscious triple-cream cheese with the texture of ice-cream.
It gets its name from a road lined with bushes that caught the straw as the carts passed through.
