Choosing and caring for cheese
Individual cheeses (soft, or hard) on the whole last better than cut cheeses and you can expect a natural shelf life of 2 weeks from receipt on all the individual cheeses we deliver. (Exceptions are very fresh goats' milk cheeses like Perroche and Innes buttons, which if not eaten within 3/4 days may be frozen very happily)

Hard cut cheeses like Cheddar and robust blues like Stilton, if carefully wrapped and stored in waxed paper, or foil, keep for a week, or more.

Soft cut cheeses like Gorgonzola and Brie de Meaux are more temperamental. As a result we advise that you only order what you are planning to eat in the next 3/4 days, or consider ordering instead cheeses with a better keeping quality like Coulommiers (whole baby brie), or a baby Cornish Blue as an alternative to Gorgonzola.

All cheese selections contain general instructions about the care and storage of cheese. However, we are of course happy to answer questions about any particular concerns you may have. Call us on 01225 448748

Contents From time to time it is necessary to subtitute items. Should this happen, items will be replaced with similar goods of equal quality and value. All cheese weights are approximate.
