The British Cheese Awards are the most prestigious awards in the British cheesemakers’ calendar, and each cheese below is a stunning testament to the makers’ skill and flair. Have Britain’s best cheese delivered to your door. All you have to decide is whether you can manage four of these champion cheeses.

DUCKETT’S CAERPHILLY 250g
Winner: Best British Cheese, Best Territorial Cheese
Cow, Raw Milk
To win one prize at the British Cheese Awards is impressive enough, but when you take home two prizes, you know it must be a seriously good cheese. Tom Calver has exacting standards in everything he does, and makes this crumbly and fresh tasting cheese to a recipe handed down to him from Chris Duckett.

THE MERRY WYFE 175g
Winner: Best Organic Cheese
Cow, Pasteurised, Vegetarian
Curds from the renowned Wyfe of Bath are pressed, and then washed in cider produced by Graham Hadfield on the farm.
A thin orange rind develops, imparting a slightly meaty, yet fruity, flavour. Aptly named after Shakespeare’s comedy, The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Who wouldn’t be merry after a cider bath?

COLSTON BASSETT STILTON 250g
Winner: Best PDO
Cow, Pasteurised
An intensely rich and creamy Stilton cheese, with a deep, lingering, complex flavour.  Hand-made by Billy Kevan and his team in Nottinghamshire. It is one of the last remaining hand-ladled Stiltons. Hand-ladling produces an intensely rich and creamy cheese; and the Colston Bassett flavour is deep, lingering and complex.

KILLEEN GOAT GOUDA 250g
Winner: Best Cheese From a Member of the Specialist Cheesemaker’s Association
Goat, Pasteurised
This fresh and nutty goat Gouda-style cheese has its roots in the Netherlands.
However, Irish influence has given Killeen a unique style and taste.
