All four cheeses in this selection have been lovingly made by talented female cheesemakers. Featuring a baby blue, a delicate washed rind, a creamy sheep's milk cheese and a fabulous semi-hard cheese made with Jersey milk. Nurtured and developed over a number of weeks, these cheeses have grown into full-flavoured and fabulous cheeses that would make anyone proud.
Burt’s Blue 180g
Cow, Pasteurised, Vegetarian
The cheeses are handpierced to allow small pockets of blue to form in the creamy paste, and tiny blue veins to appear through the spaces between the curds. Cheesemaker Claire Burt’s skill in creating a flavoursome blue cheese is not easily matched.
St Cera 90g
Cow, Raw Milk
The dusky sister of St. Jude. Julie Cheyney places young St. Judes in wooden trays, and washes them with brine to develop their blush pink coats. The paste is smooth and silky, while the flavour is buttery, fruity, complex and lingering. Spoon it directly from the box and savour every morsel.
Sharpham Rustic 200g
Cow, Thermised, Vegetarian
Made by Debbie Mumford on the Sharpham Estate. The Jersey cows that provide the rich milk for Sharpham Rustic graze on water meadows in the beautiful Dart valley. The cheese is rich and buttery with a fresh, lactic finish.
Waterloo approx. 375g
Cow, Raw Milk, Vegetarian
A delicately flavoured, Guernsey-milk cheese, made by the Anne Wigmore in Berkshire. Creamy, with a yielding texture.
