At the heart of the Ursini story is a family and a very special extra virgin olive oil.

The Ursini family’s origins are from the land that surrounds the beautiful San Giovanni in Venere Abbey of
Fossacesia, Abruzzo.
Dedicated olive growers since 19th century, they tend their groves, press their olives, bottle their oil and sell to a discerning public in both Italy and abroad.

They also bring both their oil and their artisan methods and values to their bottled ‘pestati’ (pestos) which preserve the authentic taste of fresh ingredients thanks to the special cooking of every ingredient separately.
Completely artisanal, the ‘pestati’ are totally natural and free of stabilisers or preservatives.
Ursini ‘pestati’ are fragrant and have a very superior taste. They are best spread on toasted bread and served as bruschetta, however they can be stirred directly from the jar into hot pasta or risotto for dressing or flavouring.
