As nature springs into action, but many of us find we are unable to anymore, we thought we would keep the spirits up with this cheese celebration cake. Featuring three wonderfully complex cheeses that can each be described as wearing a ‘bloom-y’ coat, and that taste wonderful at this time of year.
Top Tier - Crottin de Chavignol 60g
Goat, Raw Milk
The French classic goats' milk cheese, made by the master affineur Dubois Boulay. As the cheese matures, it becomes firmer and more intense in flavour. Superbe.
Second Tier - Burt's Blue 180g
Cow, Pasteurised, Vegetarian
The cheeses are handpierced to allow small pockets of blue to form in the creamy paste, and tiny blue veins to appear through the spaces between the curds.
Cheesemaker Claire Burt's skill in creating a flavoursome blue cheese is not easily matched.
Bottom Tier - Camembert de Normandie 250g
Cow, Raw Milk
An unpasteurised Camembert, hand-ladled to produce an undulating surface and a powerful, fruity flavour.

The Fine Cheese Co. is a maturer, wholesaler, retailer and exporter of artisan British cheeses. We are based in historic Bath, founded by the Romans and famous for its beautiful Georgian architecture - alongside Venice the only World Heritage city in Europe.
We have been cheese specialists for twenty years, and from the start we have nurtured and supported the cream of British cheese-makers. We stock over a hundred hand-made British cheeses: from rediscovered gems such as Devon Oke, a hard but creamy cows’ milk cheese made to the original seventeenth century recipe, to Lord of the Hundreds, an unpasteurised mature sheep’s milk cheese made in the style of an Italian Pecorino.Read more about us >
