This event is set to take place on Thursday 10th June (7.30-8.45pm), and will feature five bright and brilliant cheeses that will fill you with the joys of both spring and summer.
The selection includes a brand new goats’ milk cheese from Cumbria, a herby Jersey milk cheese, an award-winning sheep’s milk cheese from Glastonbury, an Alpine cheese from master affineur Walo Von Mühlenen, and a British take on a Roquefort.
We’ll be providing complementary crackers with the selection, and you'll also have the option of adding wine pairing suggestions, which can be delivered at the same time.
As this is a hosted event that allows you to participate and ask your own questions, tickets are strictly limited.
We will send you an email with a link to join the event on the morning of 10th June.
To ensure you receive your cheese selection for the tasting, please select delivery for 9th June at checkout.
The Cheese Selection
100g - Goat, Raw Milk
Lady Grey is the latest cheese from Martin Gott and Nicola Robinson of St. James cheese, and as you might expect, Her Ladyship is a cheese of real refinement. The snowy white paste has flavours that are grassy, bright and refreshing, which make a pleasing foil to the oh-so-slightly peppery flavour of the mottled grey rind.
100g - Cow, Pasteurised
A brand new cheese from The Old Cheese Rooms, makers of Baronet and Lypiatt. Culpeper is a lactic-set, Jersey milk cheese that is rolled into a ball and dusted with English herbs.
155g - Sheep, Raw Milk, Vegetarian
A light and delicate, lactic ewes' milk cheese, with a mousse-like texture, Pavé Cobble is the 2017 British Cheese Awards Supreme Champion
125g - Cow, Raw Milk
Made at the foot of the Apstein Mountains, this cheese reaches its glorious maturity at around eight to ten months. With a firm, smooth paste, it is sweet and rich, with tones of candied nuts.
130g - Sheep, Pasteurised, Vegetarian
Light, crumbly and sweet in spring, but creamy and full-flavoured later in the year. This 'English Roquefort' has a subtle balance of spice and saltiness.
Heritage Charcoal Squares - 140g
All-butter charcoal crackers, with a crumbly texture and delicate flavour. A stylish partner for cheese.
Miller's Damsel Gluten-Free Charcoal Crackers - 110g
A thin, crisp carrier for pâtés, savoury spreads or cheese. Made from a blend of gluten-free cereals and flours. Hand-baked in England.
Please select your chosen cracker from the drop down box at the top of page.
