Made in a Nottinghamshire dairy as a 7kg disc shaped cheese, from locally sourced Pasteurised milk, Beauvale uses traditional animal rennet and hand ladling from the vat to the draining table to accentuate its smooth creamy texture and rich round flavour. Hand turned regularly during maturation and brought on in a dedicated maturation room ,the cheese is ready for sale from 7 weeks and is given a 4 week shelf life so that it retains the mellow flavour for the consumer .It should be stored at 2-5 degrees Centigrade, but served at room temperature to exhibit its spreadable tendencies.
