Product Description
The baby brother of the Superiore DOCG above, this is lighter and drier and comes from the foothills of the Treviso Mountains. It is a delicious drop – made with exactly the same care and attention to detail as its more expensive sibling.
Grapes: 100% Glera grapes. Glera is northern Italy’s Prosecco grape. This green-skinned variety has been grown for hundreds of years in the Veneto and Friuli regions, most famously to produce sparkling Prosecco wines.
Winemaking: Charmat method sparkling process. Made using the Glera grapes from the 10-hectare vineyard surrounding the winery, in the heart of the Treviso DOC region, northeast of Conegliano. The first fermentation takes place after a brief maceration, which enhances the typical citrus and tropical aromas of the Glera grapes. These intense, fruity aromas are preserved through the second fermentation, which takes place in large temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
Tasting note: Lemon-yellow in colour with a persistent bead of elegant, refined bubbles. Aromas of white flowers, apricot and herbs create a delicately soft bouquet. The palate is comprised of citrus, orange blossoms and stone fruits. Fresh citrus and floral notes linger on the finish. An ideal apertif and the perfect choice for celebrations large and small. Also an excellent base for sparkling cocktails.
Type: Brut sparkling wine
Residual Sugars: 10-12 gr/l.
Alcohol Content: 11% vol

FAQs
What makes The Fine Cheese Co. unique?
We select and mature traditionally-made artisan cheeses from independent producers who prioritise quality over profit.
For over thirty years we have nurtured and supported the cream of British cheesemakers, and we played an integral role in the revival of traditional British cheesemaking in the early 1990s.
We produce our own range of Partners for Cheese, and our cheese and partners are supplied to hundreds of UK retailers and exported to over 50 countries world-wide.
Who are the founders of The Fine Cheese Co.?
We were founded in 1990 by Ann-Marie Dyas, a renowned judge at both the British and World Cheese Awards and winner of the Guild of Fine Food Lifetime Achievement Award. Ann-Marie was committed to the survival and growth of traditional cheesemaking and to introducing and sharing farmhouse cheeses, as well as the stories behind them, to as wide a public as possible.
Ann-Marie's mission was "To seek out the best, and, when it’s been found, to keep looking". This same tireless pursuit of excellence is the core value across the company.
From the producers we choose to work with to the coffee we serve in our café, we want to give the best possible experience, while continuing to find ways to improve upon it.
