Adelia di Fant: Chocolate Inspired by the Hills of Friuli
Perched on a hill in the beautiful region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, San Daniele del Friuli has long been known for its rich culinary heritage and centuries-old artisanal traditions. While the town is celebrated worldwide for its famous prosciutto, it is also home to remarkable makers who continue to preserve the culture and character of the region through their work.
One of those makers is Adelia di Fant.

Having lived in San Daniele for many years, Adelia wanted to create products that honoured her roots and reflected the place she calls home. Drawn by a lifelong love of chocolate, she transformed that passion into a profession, establishing a workshop where every piece is still made entirely by hand.
For Adelia, chocolate making is both an art and a tradition. Rather than industrial production, each bar and praline is individually made in small batches, with every creation shaped by experience, inspiration and an enduring respect for artisanal methods. No two pieces are exactly alike.

Her chocolates often draw inspiration from the natural beauty surrounding her. Flowers, fruits and carefully chosen ingredients are combined with creativity and skill to produce bars that are as distinctive as they are beautiful. The range includes delicately decorated Sinfonie di Fiori bars adorned with real dried flowers, fruit-topped chocolate bars, and classic flavour combinations such as pistachio and dark chocolate.
Alongside the bars, Adelia also produces an assortment of handmade pralines, bringing together traditional Italian flavours with her own imaginative approach.
What makes Adelia's work so special is not simply the ingredients she uses, but the sense of place that runs through everything she creates. Her chocolates are unmistakably rooted in Friuli Venezia Giulia: a region with a proud history of craftsmanship, where food and artistry have always gone hand in hand.

As the exclusive UK distributor for Adelia di Fant, The Fine Cheese Co is proud to introduce these exceptional handmade chocolates to British customers for the first time.
They are a celebration of Italian tradition, created by hand in one remarkable hilltop town and brought to the UK by people who share the same belief in authentic artisan food.
