Details

Old Winchester cheese is a truly great British cheese. Made in the Gouda-style (with more than a hint of Parmesan about it), Old Smales is aged for 18 months. It has a full flavour, an underlying sweetness, and a wonderful crystalline finish that crunches on the tongue.

Allergen Advice
This cheese contains an enzyme called Lysozyme, which helps stabilise the active starter cultures and which derives from egg white.

♥ Try it with quince membrillo for a real treat.

Every piece freshly cut & wrapped

We unashamedly source, care for and sell the best cheese, because that is what we believe in. Every day of dispatch one of our trained cheesemongers cuts every piece fresh, by hand, and wraps it in our waxed paper. We do this because it is most respectful way to treat this precious food.
